Brunel University INternational Marketing

This project was created as part of my application for Brunel University’s International Marketing Intern role.

The Prompt.


To create a short-form advertisement to advertise Brunel University to international students to be featured on social media.

Consrtaints.


Due to short notice, this advertisement was rushed. Everything from research, to filming, to editing and finalization was done in the span of one day. Only a single prompt was given for this production and I felt that more communication with the client could have resulted in a better and more concise final product.

Reasearch.


The first stage of this project was research. This entails researching Brunel University’s Unique Selling Points in terms of when it comes to international study. Looking at Brunel University’s official website, I identified that international clearing support and accommodation were featured heavily in existing marketing material. Additionally, I elected to include Brunel University’s ranking in notable fields of study. This was done because of both personal experience and popular sentiment shared among international university applicants placing heavy emphasis on the importance of university rankings.

As such, I included these three points as points of focus for this short ad.

Execution.


The final artefact was filmed on an iPhone 14, edited on Adobe Premiere Pro and motion graphics were added using Adobe After Effects. Copyright free music that fits the branding and tone of the ad was chosen to accompany the visuals.
